Guy Frometa ::: Set up

Usually my go-kit looks its the one above (see picture) but definitely, the music will always tell me what to do.

I change drums, snares and cymbals most of the times I’m recording or performing “live” depending on the style, sound, vibe..(If is a jazz gig, I’ll pull out my 16” bass drum, If is Pop, my 22” and so on).

At this point, I have lots of gear... I’ll add percussion if necessary too..

Sometimes when creativity it’s king, I don’t even play drums!
I like to experiment with different sound sources such as pans, metal pipes, water buckets and whatever I can get ahold of..

All this of course, depends on the project I’m doing, sometimes its very drumming oriented (very technical, lots of notes, etc) other times its more organic, moody, dark (?) Well, you get the picture.
